Congrats to the winners of our recent contests.
To Paul Frost goes a copy of the Life As We Know It soundtrack, out now on Watertower Music.
To Jeff Patterson goes a copy of the Jackass 3D soundtrack, out digitally today from Epitaph.
Thanks to everyone who entered, and thanks to Watertower and Epitaph for the CDs.
Every time I watch any of the Jackass movies or clips from the episodes, I can’t help but remember the time my friends pushed me down the street in a shopping cart. When it stopped in a sewer drain, I shot out out. Had I not tucked and rolled (and gone limp), I probably would’ve been hurt like hell. As it is, Jackass is a reminder that no matter how much you tell kids, “It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye,” there are always those kids who wonder exactly what it takes to lose that eye.
Johnny Knoxville and company return in Jackass 3D when it hits theaters next Friday, October 15. To celebrate, we’ve got a copy of the soundtrack from Epitaph Records to give away. As a bonus, if you live in the Kansas City / Lawrence area, you also win a pass to the advance screening at the Cinemark Merriam 20 on Thursday, October 14 at 10:00 p.m.
To enter, send an e-mail with the subject line “Jackass 3D contest” to nicholas dot spacek at gmail dot com by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11. We’ll announce the winner Tuesday morning.
For more info on the soundtrack, which features Weezer’s “Memories” alongside Cocksparrer, Gang Green, and more, hit up the official website. You’ll be able to get it digitally next Tuesday, or grab the CD on October 26.
