Win a copy of the Hung soundtrack

happiness-t-shirtAnother week, another contest. This time, it’s for a copy of the soundtrack for Hung, HBO’s series about a high school athletic coach turned male prostitute which recently started its second season. As the press release I received states:

“Created by Dmitry Lipkin and Colette Burson, HUNG uses dark humor to tell the story of Ray Drecker, a divorced dad and middle-aged basketball coach who is fighting to survive personal setbacks that have been compounded by a troubled economy. The well-endowed Drecker decides to exploit his best asset in a last-ditch effort to reverse his fortunes.”

The winner of the contest gets a copy of the soundtrack, featuring music by the Black Keys, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Loretta Lynn, et al and a “Happiness Consultants” t-shirt, which you can see to your left. To enter, send an e-mail with “Hung Contest” in the subject line to nicholas dot spacek at gmail dot com. The contest ends Sunday at 5:00 p.m., and the winner will be announced Monday.

The Black Keys bust out “Thickfreakness” at the Crossroads

Video from the Black Keys show at the Crossroads in Kansas City on June 4. Sorry the audio quality is so blown out. We were at the very back of the venue, and I thought we’d be okay. Evidently not – the band’s so damned loud, they overloaded the mic.

You can read my review of the show at Wayward Blog.
