The Reno Post-Gazette reported recently that in Reno, the straight edge kids are now considered a gang.
If memory serves, this isn’t the first time this has happened. There was something on MTV eight or nine years ago dealing with the same shit. It’s kinda funny, kinda not… I respect people who are straight edge and over 21. If you’re 18 or under, and straight edge- well, it’s easy to not do things you can’t easily get. If you want to go by that classification, I was abstinate from 18-19. Not by fucking choice, mind you. But I was.
Anyhow. Here’re some positive youth crew songs to buck up the spirits of straight edge kids who are feeling a bit down right now. Just remember, kids- if you’re in Reno, and you see somebody smoking a cigarette near you, just leave. Do not, under any circumstances, smash them across the face with a baseball bat.
