The Pharoahs present

May 27-28 2005
Lawrence KS

The MO-KAN chapter of the Pharaohs car club is proud to present “Kruizin’ the Heartland”, a two day extravaganza to benefit local charities. “Kruizin’ the Heartland” takes place May 27-28, 2005 at the Holidome in Lawrence, KS. The weekend features exciting events such as a Saturday car show, awards ceremony, and tons of live music Friday and Saturday night.

“Kruizin’ the Heartland” begins the evening of Friday, May 27, with registration, an open social, and live rockabilly from 9pm-2am at the Replay Lounge. Saturday the 28 is the car show on the Haskell Indian Nations University grounds from 10am-6pm, live music from noon-5pm, as well as burlesque dancers, a DJ spinning oldies, contests and games. There will be even more live music that night from 9pm-2am.

“Kruizin’ the Heartland” will feature live music from such Kansas City rockabilly acts as Paulie Bluenote & the Dukes, the Silvermen, The Cowtown Playboys, Lil’ Rachel and the Rumblejetts, as well as the Mezcal Brothers from Lincoln, NE.

The music isn’t the focus of the weekend, however. The car show will feature local, regional, and national hot rods and kustoms. All cars will be pre-1965 vintage, harking back to the days of “American Graffiti.”

Good news car owners!!! Thanks to the many folks who have offered to donate their time and services, the registration fee has gone down! Now the full access pass is only $30! If you only want a pass for the day of the show, car registration is only $20! That entitles you to be eligible for trophies, door prizes and access to all the music and fun for the whole day! Any car owners that have already sent in their money, the balance will be refunded upon sign in at the event. We’ll see ya there!

Please send photo and/or description of vehicle with registration fee.
