Mr. Pibb + Red Vines = Crazy Delicious

This might get my geek license revoked, but I hate the Chronicles of Narnia. Never liked them one little bit. When I was younger, I forced myself to finish the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, but didn’t touch the rest of the series. Bored me fucking stupid. And I love the Chronicles of Prydain and Lord of the Rings, so it does seem rather weird.

However, while I have absolutely no desire at all to see the movie (and have actually rebuffed my eldest son three times when he’s asked to go see it), I have to say that the folks over at Saturday Night Live came up with something that actually had me excited about the movie.

The kids from The Lonely Island joined the cast of SNL this season, and came up with one of the funniest film sketches since the “H is O” sketch. I am, of course, talking about the hottest video to be making the Internet rounds at the moment, “Chronic(what?)les of Narnia.”

It’s Chris Parnell and Andy Samberg rapping about going to see the Chronicles of Narnia. It is simultaneously the whitest thing and best rap video I’ve ever seen. Funny as hell, fucking great, and immensely rewatchable.

The best part? Blue Collar Distro now features a shirt sporting the best line of the whole song (the subject you see above) for the low, low price of ten bones. And all the profits from the shirt go to the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Sweetness.
